Application of the theory of constraints in the management of production of manufacturer sealing: Implantation proposal [Aplicação da teoria das restrições na gestão de produção de uma empresa fabricante de vedações: Uma proposta de implantação]

Abstract

This article aims generally describe and analyze the process of implementing of the management system of production based on the concepts and the use of Theory of Constraints. There will be a literature review and suggested the application of a procedure for implementing the Theory of Constraints in a manufacturer of sealing rings. We seek to present and analyze the stages of implementation, identify constraints and bottlenecks, and provide the likely results that may be obtained from the application of the tool, the positive or negative using the Theory of Constraints, if such use interferes with productivity and gain of the company, by focusing on the production bottleneck. Will be used as a technique for data collection the analysis of company documents to identify the constraints and then suggest how to explore it. The Theory of Constraints aims to increase profit by the maximization of bottlenecks productive. Based on this theory was developed an implementation plan to outline the steps and build a procedure to be followed by the company.
