Abstract: | This article discusses the local productive sector in activities related to agricultural production as a strategy for local economic development and social inclusion. It is a qualitative study, based on the application of three documentary work developed in the Master Program at the University of Taubaté, state of São Paulo, Brasil. The results indicated that the application of the concept of productive arrangement in the primary sector is a practice exercise in the study area, and can provide development in the area, inserting the small and medium producers in the virtuous cycle of regional development. The study indicates the need to expand access to finance and training of high qualified labor. It is also necessary, in partnership with government to create mechanisms to reduce the distance between the farmer and the consumer market, reducing the typical conflicts of the vision center-periphery. |
