Creative economy and taubaté county development/SP [Economia criativa e o desenvolvimento no município de taubaté-SP]

Abstract

The Creative Economy is a concept recently coined that has creativity as the main generator of economic activity. It relates to the cultural universe of man and makes use of information technology to establish productive networks. The aim of this article is to identify the creative economy initiatives in the city of Taubaté/SP. The cut, which was done, approaches the artistic activities related to visual arts segments, music, literature and theater, and the aspects that concern the urban landscape, related to these areas, because of they are activities that can happen with very little structure and they are established from individual talents. Thus, it was possible to glimpse the infrastructure and the human capital available in the productive chain of these economies in the city. Taubaté employment in the creative economy 1,682 workers in 2012, half of them in the field of architecture and engineering, while areas cultural activities areas such as arts and music, research Firjan points more modest data, it is considered the potential presented from the research from the data of the Municipal Culture Bureau. However, the Firjan research was made from the formal employment data, and small companies were not accounted for in the owners are service providers and informal activities, and cultural activities may have been undersized.
