Development multidimensional: Options for Piranguçu - MG [Desenvolvimento multidimensional: Alternativas para Piranguçu – MG]

Abstract

This paper presents an approach to the dimensions that are inserted in the development process. An approach that transcends the generation of wealth only, understanding that development is directly linked to improvements in an individual's life conditions. So explicit, the topic addresses the multidimensional development, alternatives to Piranguçu - MG. A small mining town in the Mesoregion south / southwest of Mines, bordering the municipalities of São Paulo Campos do Jordão and São Bento do Sapucaí. It aims to study the dimensions of the development process and existing shares in the mining town. As a research method we chose to literature. As a result it appears that local indexes followed the national trend. Developments in development indices presented by the indicators used are in equal proportion to the levels of state and national development. So the site desire awakening is necessary for it to happen a process of development, and that this be guided in the broad sense, considering at least these dimensions studied here. © 2017.
