Physical and anholonomic components of tensors of elasticity theory

Abstract

This paper is concerned with some new aspects of the theories of physical and anholonomic components of tensors of double field. Consistent definitions of these components are given and the connection between them is pointed out. As applications, the geometrically non-linear equations of elasticity referred to general curvilinear coordinates are written firstly in terms of a compatible set of anholonomic components of vectors and tensors involved and then in terms of their physical counterparts.
