Representações Sociais de licenciandos em educação musical : referências da mídia na formação dos professores de música

Abstract

Resumo: Investigaram-se as Representações Sociais (RS) da música de licenciandos em educação musical e os tipos de referências da música midiática que existem nessas representações. Pela aplicação da Lei 11769/2008, a música passou a ser conteúdo obrigatório no âmbito do componente curricular de Arte. Considerando que, desde 1930 as mídias de massa vêm influenciando, de forma crescente, a música de maneira incisiva em todo o mundo, objetivou-se investigar em que medida a música veiculada massivamente pela mídia é referida nas RS dos alunos da licenciatura em música. Para tanto, foi realizado um grupo focal com 12 sujeitos, composto por estudantes do primeiro ao sexto semestre do curso de música de uma faculdade de uma cidade do vale do Paraiba paulista. Foi utilizado como instrumento de coleta de dados um roteiro de questões abertas e uma dinâmica de apreciação, em grupo, de trechos de música erudita, popular e midiática. A análise demonstra que, dentre outras influências, as músicas veiculadas pela mídia exercem fortes referências nas RS dos licenciandos em todos os semestres do curso, e que as disciplinas técnicas da graduação, como harmonia, história da música, estética, criação e apreciação musical são as mais determinantes nas mudanças dessas representações. Demonstra também que os licenciandos ainda não têm um aprofundado embasamento teórico em estética, sociologia e filosofia da música, o que leva á constatação de que a licenciatura ainda precisa de maior aporte teórico nesse sentido.

Abstract: We investigated the Social Representations (RS) of the music of licenciandos in music education and the types of references of the media music that exist in these representations. Through the application of Law 11769/2008, music became mandatory content within the curricular component of Art. Considering that, since 1930, mass media have been increasingly influencing music in an incisive manner throughout the world, the objective was to investigate the extent to which the music massively conveyed by the media is referred to in the RS of the undergraduate students in music. For that, a focal group with 12 subjects was composed, composed of students from the first to the sixth semester of the music course of a university in a city in the Paraiba Valley of São Paulo. It was used as an instrument of data collection a script of open questions and a dynamic of appreciation, in group, of stretches of erudite, popular and media music. The analysis shows that, among other influences, the music transmitted by the media exerts strong references in the RS of the graduates in all the semesters of the course, and that the technical disciplines of graduation, such as harmony, music history, aesthetics, creation and musical appreciation are the most determinant in the changes of these representations. It also shows that graduates do not yet have a deep theoretical basis in aesthetics, sociology and philosophy of music, which leads to the realization that the degree still needs a greater theoretical contribution in this sense.
