Educação física : o que pensam os professores sobre sua área e os saberes docentes

Abstract

Resumo: Durante a prática docente dos professores de Educação Física, questões são levantadas sobre o que está em torno da prática dos professores. O entendimento das concepções dos professores sobre sua área de atuação e sobre os saberes docentes na Educação Física trouxe apontamentos em relação a como constituem sua vida profissional. O objetivo da dissertação foi identificar as concepções que professores de Educação Física de escolas municipais de três cidades do interior paulista têm acerca de sua área de atuação e dos saberes docentes. Para responder aos objetivos do estudo, foi desenvolvida uma pesquisa qualitativa. Os sujeitos da pesquisa foram constituídos por 45 professores de Educação Física, selecionados. Os instrumentos para a coleta de dados foram questionário e entrevista, e procedeu-se a análise de conteúdo. Como resultado, uma Educação Física inserida na saúde, esporte, educação, e meio de socialização. Os saberes docentes são pensados pela formação, organização, conteúdos específicos da Educação Física e saber das relações construtivas da prática docente. Concluiu-se que são variadas as concepções dos professores, tanto sobre a Educação Física quanto sobre os saberes: por um lado, o movimento central, no que se refere à construção da Educação Física e, de outro lado, a concepção de que os saberes dos professores representam um conhecimento que se manifesta em diferentes momentos de sua carreira.

Abstract: During the teaching practice of Physical Education teachers, questions are raised about what is around the practice of teachers. The understanding of the teachers' conceptions about their area of action and about the teaching knowledge in Physical Education brought notes regarding how they constitute their professional life. The objective of the dissertation was to identify the concepts that the Physical Education teachers of schools, municipal, of three cities of the interior of São Paulo, have about their area of activity and the teaching knowledge. To answer the objectives of the study, a qualitative research was developed. The subjects of the research were constituted by 45 Physical Education teachers, selected among the 3 cities of the interior of São Paulo. The instruments for data collection were questionnaire and interview, and data analysis, through content analysis. As a result, we have a Physical Education inserted in health, sports, education and as a means of socialization. The teaching knowledge is thought through the formation, organization, specific contents of the Physical Education and knowledge of the constructive relations of the teaching practice. It was concluded that the teachers' conceptions are varied, both on Physical Education and on knowledge: on the one hand, the central movement, regarding the construction of Physical Education and, on the other hand, the conception that the knowledge of teachers represent knowledge, which manifests itself at different times in the teachers' careers.
