Gypsy Rose e Dee Dee Blanchard à luz da psicologia analítica = o complexo materno

Abstract

Resumo: Os mitos são aquilo que os indivíduos têm em comum: histórias da busca da verdade, de sentido e de significação através dos tempos. Os mitos se referem a situações que todo ser humano se depara ao longo de sua vida e que são decorrentes de sua condição humana. Toda mitologia é a consciência vindo à tona, pois tudo está sendo observado através de outra perspectiva. A psicologia analítica compreende que os seres humanos desenvolvem sua subjetividade através das experiências culturais, pessoais e das arquetípicas universais. No presente trabalho são apresentados teorias e conceitos de Carl Gustav Jung, especialmente o de complexo materno, especificando o efeito dele na mulher. O complexo materno, seja ele positivo ou negativo, contribui com marcas significativas para a pessoa. Além disso, o complexo materno está entre os elementos que mais exercem influência sobre a psique e desenvolvimento humano. Assim, neste trabalho são apresentadas algumas considerações acerca do complexo materno e alguns arquétipos, utilizando como exemplo principal o caso Gypsy e Dee Dee Blanchard, um crime de homicídio em que a filha, Gypsy, planejou a morte da sua mãe, Dee Dee, junto com o seu namorado, Nicholas Godejohn, no ano de 2015. Para este trabalho, foi realizada a pesquisa de revisão bibliográfica, na qual se buscou entender e compreender o caso de Gypsy e Dee Dee à luz da teoria de Carl Gustav Jung. Pelo estudo realizado foi possível observar as consequências que a influência tóxica de uma mãe pode trazer na vida de uma filha e a importância de se resolver questões da vida no lado simbólico para não se resultar pelo lado concreto.

Abstract: Myths are what individuals have in common: stories of seeking truth, meaning, signification over time. The myths always refer to situations that human beings face throughout their lives, arising from their human condition. All mythology is consciousness brought to light, for everything is being observed from another perspective. Analytical psychology understands that human beings develop their subjectivity through cultural, personal, and universal archetypal experiences. In the present work, Carl Gustav Jung's theories and concepts are presented, especially the mother complex, specifying its effect on women. The mother complex, whether positive or negative, contributes with significant effects to the person. Furthermore, the mother complex is among the most influential elements on the psyche and human development. Thus, some considerations about the mother complex and some archetypes are presented in this paper, using as main example the case Gypsy and Dee Dee Blanchard, a homicide in which the daughter Gypsy planned the death of her mother Dee Dee with her boyfriend, Nicholas Godejohn, in the year 2015. A research of bibliographical review was carried out, which sought to understand and comprehend the case of Gypsy and Dee Dee considering the theory of Carl Gustav Jung. The study showed the consequences which a toxic influence of a mother could have on the life of a daughter and the importance of solving symbolic life issues, so they do not result in concrete ones.
