Abstract

Resumo: A remoção cirúrgica dos terceiros molares é um dos procedimentos mais comuns realizados por cirurgiões dentistas. Uma vez indicada a extração, o cirurgião precisa estar preparado para agir corretamente, sendo fundamental estudar o caso detalhadamente, realizar um planejamento cirúrgico baseado nos exames clínico e radiográfico, selecionar a técnica mais adequada e preparar os instrumentos e materiais que serão utilizados com o intuito de prevenir possíveis complicações no transoperatório e pós-cirugico. Também é fundamental informar o paciente a respeito da cirurgia a que irá se submeter, esclarecendo-lhe as dúvidas sobre o pré, o trans, o pós-cirúrgico

Abstract: Surgical removal of third molars is one of the most common procedures performed by dental surgeons. Once extraction is indicated, the surgeon must be prepared to act correctly, and it is essential to study the case in detail, carry out a surgical planning based on clinical and radiographic exams, select the most appropriate technique and prepare the instruments and materials that will be used in order to to prevent possible complications during and after surgery. It is also essential to inform the patient about the surgery to which he will undergo, clarifying his doubts about the pre, trans, and post-surgical
