Na contramão das evasões : o retorno dos evadidos à escola

Abstract

Resumo: Este trabalho reflete o retorno de evadidos aos bancos escolares, tendo como objetivo identificar e analisar os motivos que promoveram a recuperação da trajetória escolar por parte do evadido. As hipóteses giram em torno dos sentidos profissionais e pessoais de frequentarse a Educação de Jovens e Adultos (EJA). Inicialmente, trata-se de uma pesquisa bibliográfica com foco principal no tema Evasão Escolar. Tendo Brandão (1989), Medina (1990), Lahire (1997), Arroyo (2007), Taborda (2014), Costa (2016) e Freire (1982) como referencial teórico, buscou-se compreender as diferentes perspectivas de educação, o fracasso escolar e a EJA no Brasil atual. Posteriormente, para o levantamento dos dados, foi realizada uma pesquisa de campo que teve como instrumento a realização de entrevistas com alunos da EJA, sendo duas mulheres e dois homens, com idades entre 28 e 58 anos. A pesquisa apontou, a partir da pluralidade de questões socioeconômicas e epocais, que a escola tem papel direto na trajetória escolar dos alunos e, também, que houve uma resignificação do papel da escola na vida desses sujeitos; os dados ainda comprovaram as hipóteses da pesquisa, como sentidos profissionais, pessoais e familiares serem estimulantes para esse retorno à escola.

Abstract: This research reflects the return of evaded to school in order to identify and analyze the reasons that promoted the recovery of the school trajectory by the evader. The hypotheses revolve around the professional and personal senses for attending Youth and Adult Education (Educação de Jovens e Adultos - EJA). Initially, this is a bibliographical research with a main focus on School Evasion. Using Brandão (1989), Medina (1990), Lahire (1997), Arroyo (2007), Gadotti (1988), and Freire (1982) as theoretical references, we sought to understand the different perspectives of Education, school failure and EJA in Brazil today. Subsequently, for the data collection, a field survey was carried out, which had as an instrument the interviews with EJA students, two women and two men aged 28 to 58 years. The research pointed out, from the plurality of socioeconomic and epochal questions, that the school has a direct role in the school trajectory of the students and, also, that there was a reframing of the role of the school in the life of these subjects; the data still confirmed the hypotheses of the research, as professional, personal and family senses were stimulating for this change. Using the qualitative methodology, it was possible to identify, observe and analyze the speeches obtained in the interviews and from them to understand and centralize the return of the evaded to the school.
