O que dizem as notícias sobre educação durante a pandemia Covid-19 na Região Metropolitana do Vale do Paraíba e Litoral Norte

Abstract

Resumo: Com a declaração do estado pandêmico oriundo da Pandemia covid-19 foi tomada a decisão emergencial de suspensão das aulas presenciais, devido ao alto grau de contágio da doença - causada pelo Coronavírus covid-19. A partir do isolamento social, o uso das Tecnologias Digitais de Informação e Comunicação (TDIC) na educação intensificaram-se para que não se perdesse o ano letivo de 2020. O Ensino Remoto Emergencial (ERE) foi decretado pelo Ministério da Educação, em março de 2020, para tentar preencher o vácuo das aulas presenciais, fato que seria um colapso na educação. O diálogo entre os autores referenciados e as notícias veiculadas na imprensa apontam possibilidades e desafios, mostram o número de crianças fora da escola, sem acesso aos equipamentos e internet, além das (des)vantagens no grau de aprendizagem neste tipo de ensino digital. Demonstrar-se-á os principais temas tratados e a abordagem jornalística da educação durante a Pandemia de covid-19, por meio da pesquisa em três jornais de circulação regional e um de circulação nacional. No âmbito da Região Metropolitana do Vale do Paraíba e Litoral Norte (RMVPLN) foram analisadas as notícias relacionadas à Pandemia e à educação, ensino remoto, ensino híbrido, aplicação das TDIC e indicadores de acesso digital dos alunos no contexto da Pandemia. De natureza documental e bibliográfica, a pesquisa atingiu o seu objetivo de identificar e analisar o que a mídia noticiou sobre Educação na Pandemia, ensino remoto e ensino híbrido, entre os anos 2020 e 2022, na RMVPLN, trazendo o que autores pesquisaram e emitiram de informações científicas capazes de debater com a literatura sobre o tema e a realidade. Entre os resultados, as notícias confirmaram a literatura e as pesquisas quantitativas no tocante à perda de aprendizado na Pandemia. A exaustão docente e a falta de equipamentos e internet para 29% dos alunos foram outros dados identificados pela pesquisa. O estudo revelou também uma dificuldade no retorno às aulas presenciais. Problemas emocionais e mentais em alunos e professores, evasão e abandono escolar, que foram reflexos da Pandemia de covid-19 na Educação noticiados na imprensa.

Abstract: With the declaration of the pandemic state arising from the Covid-19 Pandemic, an emergency decision was taken to suspend classes, due to the high degree of contagion of the disease - caused by the Coronavirus. As a result of social isolation, the use of Digital Information and Communication Technologies (TDIC) in education intensified so that the 2020 school year was not lost. Emergency Remote Teaching (ERE) was decreed by the Ministry of Education in March of 2020, to try to fill the void of face-to-face classes, a fact that would be a collapse in education. The dialogue between the referenced authors and the news published in the press point to possibilities and challenges, show the number of children out of school, without access to equipment and internet, in addition to the (dis)advantages in the degree of learning in this type of digital teaching. The main topics addressed and the journalistic approach to education during the Covid-19 Pandemic will be demonstrated, through research in three newspapers with regional circulation and one with national circulation. Within the scope of the Metropolitan Region of Vale do Paraíba and North Coast (RMVPLN), news related to the pandemic and education, remote learning, blended learning, application of TDIC and indicators of digital access by students in the context of the pandemic were analyzed. Of a documentary and bibliographical nature, the research reached its objective of identifying and analyzing what the media reported about education in the Pandemic, remote and hybrid teaching, between the years 2020 and 2022, in the RMVPLN, bringing what authors researched and issued from scientific information capable of debating with the literature on the subject and reality. Among the results, the news confirmed the literature and quantitative research regarding the loss of learning in the Pandemic. Teacher exhaustion and lack of equipment and internet for 29% of students were other data identified by the survey. The study also revealed a difficulty in returning to face-to-face classes. Emotional and mental problems in students and teachers, evasion and school dropout were reflections of the Covid-19 Pandemic in Education reported in the press.
