Influência da poluição no desenvolvimento da pesca artesanal no Rio Tocantins

Abstract

Resumo: A pesca é uma atividade milenar, onde são explorados os recursos e ecossistemas aquáticos, pode ser realizada em lagos, rios e mares; artesanalmente é reconhecida pela Marinha do Brasil desde 1940, com regulamentação pelo decreto de Lei 221 de 1967. O rio Tocantins destaca-se como um manancial importante para a pesca artesanal, turismo e lazer, contudo vem sendo ameaçado há algum tempo pela poluição e pressão da urbanização, como desmatamento e queimadas da vegetação nativa das margens, presença de lixo inorgânico, despejo de esgoto sanitário, assoreamento entre outros, causando inúmeros impactos negativos. Assim, o objetivo geral deste estudo busca identificar a influência da poluição na pesca artesanal no rio Tocantins a partir de revisão integrativa de literatura. Especificamente demonstrar os principais estudos envolvendo pescadores artesanais do rio Tocantins; descrever os principais poluentes encontrados no rio Tocantins a partir das pesquisas realizadas no trajeto do rio. Este estudo consiste em uma pesquisa bibliográfica de abordagem qualitativa com a utilização do método Revisão Integrativa de literatura. Como critérios de inclusão das fontes de estudo foram utilizados, publicações, artigos (disponíveis na base de dados da Scientific Electronic Library Online - Scielo), livros, teses e resumos expandidos, publicados no idioma português e inglês, no período cronológico entre 2000 a 2023, disponíveis na íntegra, cujos descritores foram: "pescadores artesanais"; "pesca artesanal no Tocantins"; "poluição no rio Tocantins", acrescidos do operador booleano AND, que abordassem a temática do estudo, independente da metodologia utilizada pelo pesquisador. Quanto aos critérios de exclusão optou-se por não utilizar, publicações que antecedem o período cronológico estabelecido e que o objeto de estudo não respondia à pergunta norteadora deste estudo, publicações incompletas ou com informações insuficientes. A busca pelos dados ocorreu no período de maio a setembro de 2023. Os resultados realçam a importância das discussões acerca da relação pesca e homem. Os achados apontam para a degradação da bacia hidrográfica do rio Tocantins, com fatores influentes no desempenho da pesca, a implantação de usinas hidrelétricas, pesca predatória, despejos de efluentes domésticos, eliminação de dejetos industriais, presença de materiais orgânicos sintéticos, fertilizantes agrícolas e compostos inorgânicos.

Abstract: Fishing is an ancient activity, where aquatic resources and ecosystems are explored, it can be carried out in lakes, rivers and seas; artisanal production has been recognized by the Brazilian Navy since 1940, regulated by decree Law 221 of 1967. The Tocantins River stands out as na important source for artisanal fishing, tourism and leisure, however it has been threatened for some time by pollution and pressure urbanization, such as deforestation and burning of native vegetation on the banks, presence of inorganic waste, dumping of sanitary sewage, siltation, among others, causing numerous negative impacts. Thus, the general objective of this study seeks to identify the influence of pollution on artisanal fishing in the Tocantins River based on an integrative literature review. Specifically demonstrate the main studies involving artesanal fishermen from the Tocantins River; describe the main pollutants found in the Tocantins River based on research carried out along the river's path. This study consists of a bibliographical research with a qualitative approach using the Integrative Literature Review method. As inclusion criteria for study sources, publications, articles (available in the Scientific Electronic Library Online - Scielo) database, books, theses and expanded abstracts, published in Portuguese and English, in the chronological period between 2000 and 2023 were used, available in full, whose descriptors were: "artisan fishermen"; "artisan fishing in Tocantins"; "pollution in the Tocantins River", plus the Boolean operator AND, which addressed the theme of the study, regardless of the methodology used by the researcher. As for the exclusion criteria, we chose not to use publications that precede the established chronological period and that the object of study did not answer the guiding question of this study, publications that are incomplete or contain insufficient information. The search for data took place from May to September 2023. The results highlight the importance of discussions about the relationship between fishing and man. The findings point to the degradation of the Tocantins river basin, with factors influencing fishing performance, the implementation of hydroelectric plants, predatory fishing, dumping of domestic effluents, disposal of industrial waste, presence of synthetic organic materials, agricultural fertilizers and compounds inorganic.
