A tragédia de 2010 em São Luiz do Paraitinga : a Reconstrução da Igreja Matriz - Restaurando Uma Memória Afetiva

Abstract

Resumo: Na virada do ano de 2010 a cidade de São Luiz do Paraitinga vivenciou uma situação jamais vista durante toda a sua história. O Rio Paraitinga ficou 12 metros acima do seu leito fazendo com que o município ficasse submerso, ocasionando a ruína de muitas das suas construções do centro histórico, entre elas, a Igreja Matriz. Todo o processo burocrático envolvendo a reconstrução deste local foi acompanhado de perto pela população. Com isso os órgãos de proteção ao patrimônio levaram em conta os anseios daquela comunidade de ver construído, a sua igreja que fazia parte da vida da população e construiu laços de afeição pelo que este patrimônio representava para os munícipes e para cidade. Por isso, a importância do processo de reconstrução/restauração da Igreja tão querida pela população.

Abstract: At the turn of the year 2010 the city of São Luiz do Paraitinga experienced a situation never seen before during its entire history. The Paraitinga River was 12 meters above its bed, causing the city to be submerged, causing the ruin of many of its constructions in the historical center, among them, the Parish Church. All the bureaucratic processes involving the reconstruction of this place were followed closely by the population. With this, the patrimony protection agencies took into account the wishes of that community to see built, its church that was part of the life of the population and built bonds of affection for what this patrimony represented for the townspeople and the city. For this reason, the importance of the reconstruction/restoration process of the Church so dear to the population.
